Thank you very much for following me on this journey of my coursework. I am very happy with the outcome and I hope I get a good grade! My magazines have made a very large difference and I believe my skills hope improved substantially!

If I had more time I would change the font on my contents page and I would have practised my photo shop more as I feel like it was very difficult. Other then that, I am very happy with the result of my media as I believe I have worked very hard on the project and hope for a good amount come. I also think that I could have added some little features to make my contents page and double page spread look more professional!

Hi! today I am going to be comparing an article written by Q against my own article in my Double Page Spread. The double page spread that I wrote myself consisted of an article which contained an interview which I was advised to do from my viewers. The interview was pretty difficult to do as I typed it on notes and had to transfers it onto InDesign which was quite a hassle in itself. It is difficult to tell, but this article was not a interview per say; although it did have quotes from celebrity's. Its included information about a festival and the detail about what happened in the event. Personally, I believe that my article is more conventional as it is an interview which has been shown to be more popular. This article is from Q, which does not always focus on double page spreads as they use story which cover four to five pages.

Hello, Today I will be analysing Total Guitars contents page! Just from glancing at this contents page, it is evident that this contents page is more basic then other contents pages. The design is simple, and sophisticated which fits the genre. The most interesting thing about this front cover is its pictures. The contents page is clearly focusing on guitars as two out of the three images shown on the contents page include a photo of a guitar. This clearly states that the magazines main focus is guitars and its main intentions are to show guitars in all lights. However the guitars used are not acoustic at all. In my contents page, I will not use a lot of photos as i would prefer to have a image dominated photo. This is due to the fact that I believe a image dominated photo on a contents page is far more effective that having numerous image, although it is eye-catching to have more than one image. I will do this is my magazine that I will create and I will also try to include a prop

Out of the two distributors that I have analysed, I have decided that I would use Bauer as it fits the conventions of my magazine and they are fundamentally stable when it comes to finances meaning they can hold themselves up. I also would choose them due to the fact that they distribute Q, Kerrang and Mojo which I have analysed and took most insparation from.

Hello there! this is my timetable that I have created to stick to over the Easter. I have co-ordinated my time properly so that I am able to do Media work, my job, other school work and relax over this period of time. I will try my hardest to stick to this timetable.

Hi there! Here are my rough draft double page spread and my final product double page spread together. As you can see there is a large difference between the two but I think the biggest difference is the background. The background was what I  was told to change through out the entire piece as the twigs were unconventional for font. I would have kept this background though, as I thought it looked good and different which was what I was going for however, I have learnt that the viewers are always right. Also I have put in a symbol mixing the letters K and B to represent the artists name to give my article a little more excitement. I also added a album, which is the album the girls have released. I also think adding a pop of yellow makes my final double page spread a lot more attractive.

Finally, I will be showing you my last analysis from my online survey, As you can see the question is 'Should I have a solo artist or duo band' and too be expectation, the viewers said both. I was planning on having both of these anyway so I am pleased about the result but  would have changed it other wise as the viewers know best.

Hi there today I will be showing you my fifth result of the question 'is black o white text better' I thought that white would be the outcome but as you can see many people thought that black text would be better. However, I did not specify that it would be a grey plain background so maybe my viewers might have though differently if I had stated that point.

Hello again! today I will show you the results from my fourth question 'Do you think an acoustic genre is a good genre'. The reason I asked this question was because I was not 100% sure if it was a good enough genre. As you can see, my feedback shows that it is in fact a good genre as only 7/69 disagreed, giving me confidence. I am very happy with the outcome of this result because I would have had to change a lot if my viewers decided otherwise.

Hi again! today i will be discussing the most interesting part of my results that I did on my online survey. Before this survey,  I believed that the audience for an acoustic magazine would be a female one . I believed this due to the fact that my research had mainly female models that were the most commonly used such as Taylor Swift. However,  During the creation of my rough cut I created a survey monkey as the results were rather interesting as only 1/69 thought females would be the target audience and 6/69 for an all male audience, although 62 did say both. I'm going to stick to my female models and will attempt to find a male, and I will also make my magazine as masculine as I can but I will try to stick to my female target audience.

Hi there today I will be showing you my second result to my online survey. The question was ' what is a good colour for my magazine?'. As you can see, the most popular answer was bland colour such as grey ect. I will most defiantly be using this as my background colour in my final piece with a pop of colour. The colour I will use will still be yellow as although the viewers know best, yellow against a grey background would go better than blue against grey in my opinion. Overall I am happy with these results and I will not hav to change much of my magazine

Hi everyone! today I am going to discuss the first result of my survey monkey that I created in order to gather a consensus for my final magazine. As you can see here by the yellow bar in the bar chart, the most popular result was to have a target audience of 15-20 year old's. This is what I expected before doing this bar chart so I was not surprised at the result. Even better, this meant I did not have to alter anything in t regards to making my magazine more appealing to a different age.

IPC media is a  wholly owned subsidiary of  Time Inc. It is  a consumer  magazine  and digital publisher in the  United Kingdom , with a large portfolio selling over 350 million copies each year. The British magazine publishing industry in the mid-1950s was dominated by a handful of companies. It publishes NME and is mainly a women targeted company as it targets and mass markets to a woman type taste. Personally I wouldn't choose this company to distribute my work as I believe it is the weaker out of the two (Bauer media)

In media, we used a Nikon D5100 DLSR camera. I thought using the camera was quite difficult at first but I got the hang of it in the end after a few turns. I then developed quite a passion from using these cameras as it was very fun and enjoyable whilst being interesting at the same time. The features I used includes: •Shutter button •Video switch •Manual settings •Zoom •Focus •Shutterspeed and  exposure 

This company is a multinational media company founded in H amburg. The company’s value is over 2 billion euros and operate in 16 country’s worldwide. It launched in 1987 but became the UK’s most successful distributor in 2008. They own MOJO, Q and Kerrang (my most researched magazines). The company also has its own radio and television stations. Q Q was created in the UK in 1986, by Mark Ellen and David Hepworth. It was instantly popular as it produced top quality magazines and they had a new issue every month which was more often the others. Hi again! Today im going to be informing you the best places to purchase a music magazine. Of course, anyone would pop into a genuine music shop to purchase one of the magazines (like a HMV store) however I have personally found out that leading supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsburys do in fact sell some magazines! 

Hi there! today I will be showing you my rough cut double page spread and letting you know what my class mates and teachers collectively like and disliked about this double page spread.  What people liked Firstly many people liked the fact that I had a duo band as it was seen as classy and a typical size of a band for an acoustic genre. A lot of people also thought that the models used were very good and they contrast each other as one is blonde (Beth) and one is a brunette). People also like the white colour of font as it contrasts well with the background and matched the models outfits. In addition, the yellow font in my article was also thoroughly enjoyed in my article. What could be improved however many people like my front cover and my contents page thought that having a background that was not plain made the text difficult to read. Hi again! Today I am going to show you my rough draft of my contents page which, like my front cover, was discussed in a positive way and a constructive way! What Went Well Many people discussed my use of prop on my contents page. I wanted to show what my chosen genre is by using props like my research clearly did show, on the their magazine. This guitar was said to have shown that clearly, which was a positive opinion. Also many people though that my model was perfect and looked like an actual model on both my contents page and my front cover. Many also liked my 'pop of colour' as one of the primary colours as it is constant and stands out in most areas. Finally, many people liked the costume my model is wearing as they stand out and represent my genre of music. Hi again, today I will be talking to you about another piece of software I used very frequently to alter images. This piece of software is called Photoshop which I knew about before using it for my magazine but as I said, I never used this piece of software before.  Like InDesign, I had several lessons on Photoshop allowing me to learn and practise skills on the soft wear. At first, I though this was rather difficult to do but I managed to get the hang of the process after a few lessons and tutorials. I used this with every magazine I created as I cut and cropped 90% of the images I took on the cameras provided. You can use many tools on Photoshop but the one I used the most was the 'magnetic-lasso' which made it a lot easier to cut out an image as it automatically cuts out based on the colour contrast which is good for me as my model wore relativity bold colours in contrast to a white background. 

Hello! today I will tell you about a software called InDesign which is what I used to create my final magazine, rough draft magazine and even my preliminary task. This software allowed me to have access to different tools that allowed me to be creative and have easier access to movement unlike publisher and paint. InDesign is also simple to use as you create 'boxes' which allow you to place images or shapes in them as they provide a border for you to neatly and accurately move items around. I found InDesign to be incredibly useful and simple to use as I had never used any sort of ICT software that edits and creates pieces of work unless it was something not useful like paint. However, we did get a tutorial on how to use it and all the tips and trick to using this software to its full ability with things like adjusting texts and shapes.  

Hi there! today is the 25th of April and it is deadline day! as you can imagine, many of my fellow class mates and friends are stressed yet prepared for this deadline. I handed my magazine in on the 7th of April before the 2 week Easter holidays as I was aware that if I focused on my magazine rather than Blogs on the week before the holidays, I could have the entire Easter holiday to revise media in general and do as many blogs as I could. Here is an image of my two friends Izzy and Beth concentrating on their work to get their deadline in on time, these girls are also models in my piece.

Hello again! today I am going to be showing you my media product which I have developed over these past few months. I am proud of what I have created and am impressed with the difference between this final product and my rough drafts and even my preliminary task. 

Hi again! today I will show you an image of the studio that I, and many of the students doing media used many times in order to use Photoshop easily and to have easy access to something professional. In the studio we have a white background and large sheets of white cardboard to cover the rooms floor for Photoshop to be easier as we can cut the image out without complications. Although there is not one in the image I have provided, there is a tripod that stands in the middle of the studio to fix the camera you have hired on to. There is also a little remote that fixes onto the top of the camera that automatically makes the diffuser's flash as you click the shutter button. The three diffusers that you see in this image all dispense a light; or as we know it, a flash. The white umbrella looking diffuser is called (just as it looks) an umbrella. The two black diffusers you see are called 'a soft box' which also produce a light if you need it. I used the umbrella and one
