Why I chose my genre of music


Hi there! I'm going to discuss which genre of music i have done and why. The initial I had was to do pop music, however from my own research I decided to go against having a pop themed magazine. This was because I believed the bright colours and over the top cheesy-ness was not something that I would be passionate about. As I result I decided to choose the genre of...acoustic music!
The reason I chose this was because I loved the style of magazines inspired by the acoustic theme, for example the q magazine front cover with Ed Sheeran that I analysed was very Inspiring and I loved the style a lot. I also love the music produced from artists such as Taylor Swift and Gabrielle Aplin too.

Hi there! For my magazine I have decided to feature a duo band for my double page spread. However I could not think of a name on my own so I created a little survey for my class mates to answer. The ideas I though of were 'strummer, vibe, flow, sophistication, simplicity, daydreamer and chemistry'. As you can see from the many ticks, people liked the idea of having 'simplicity' as band name alot better.
